Dog – Ollie
“We used Kate’s services for our 7-yr old adopted Old Tyme Dorset Bulldog, Ollie. He’s a loveable boy who arrived with some issues, most notably an obsessive licking of carpets, sofas, etc, that we assumed was linked to past trauma.
Kate initially observed Ollie’s behaviour while we spoke, getting a feel for any reactions he had to emotions we subconsciously displayed. She then took us through the steps of the Trust Technique with him, showing us first what to do. Ollie responded so well with Kate & appeared instantly reassured by her incredibly calm & soothing nature. She ensured we fully understood how to use the Trust Technique, watching both myself & my husband & answering all our questions before she left.
Kate set up a WhatsApp group for the 3 of us to keep in touch with our progress & answer any further questions or concerns we had. She returned a few weeks later to see how Ollie was getting on & to make sure we were all happy & making progress.
We are so pleased to see how well The Trust Technique has worked for Ollie & how much happier he seems be. He still licks sometimes, but it’s definitely less obsessive & because we are calmer around him, he is much more responsive to us – the bond between us all seems stronger & more trusting.
I would highly recommend Kate & her delivery of the Trust Technique. She is insightful & has an incredibly soothing energy which we know Ollie resonated with immediately. She is a kind & lovely person who is genuinely concerned that your pet is happy & that you understand your role to support them as loving & responsible owners. “

Dogs, Bertie and Otter
“Kate beautifully introduced us to The Trust Technique which supported us in deepening our loving connection with our dogs, Bertie and Otter.
Her deep listening, warmth, patience and sensitivity had our meetings be very helpful.
If you want to open another layer of relationship with your pets, I have no doubt Kate will be able to help you navigate that journey.”

Horse, Jasper
“Jasper, a young Connemara had a difficult start having lost his mother early in life. He was on high alert all the time, never really relaxing. When he was turned out in the field he would be the one to run around wildly winding everyone else up.
He responded very well to Kate, to the point he lay down in his stable in almost a coma like trance. He relaxed a lot during the time with us and with the help of Kate.”

Horse, Ava
“Kate also worked with my own horse Ava. Ava was bought as a 3 year old and backed at 4 by my daughter. She came over from Ireland at 3 and had come from her breeder via a dealer. She is quite a highly spirited horse and could only be led in by my daughter and groomed by myself. I felt it would be good for me to work with her.
Kate worked with me and Ava and we now have a horse that is more comfortable in her skin and able to be handled by everyone in the yard. I continue to work using Trust Technique with Ava.”

Horse, Neal
“We now have a young Connemara, Neal who had a very traumatic start and lost his trust in humans. Having learnt techniques from Kate I have been working with Neal since he arrived and he has responded very well.
Kate came in to visit us recently and watched whilst I worked with him and then ‘tuned’ in herself. I immediately saw a huge difference in him and he relaxed and started licking and chewing. We will continue working with Neal.”
“When Kate was just starting with Trust Technique we had a couple of ‘special’ horses in that I thought would benefit from her expertise. We run a production yard and have many horses through.
I would thoroughly recommend Kate to anyone wishing to learn about the Trust Technique, it has certainly helped me to ‘talk’ with the horses on another level.”

Dog, Tylo
“Kate helped me to relate to my dog in a way that I hadn’t been able to do before. She taught me to observe all the feelings that he was communicating. This enabled me to then guide him towards peace and calm when he’d previously been very stressed.
Having been found on the streets as a puppy, he constantly lived in a state of high alert and seemed compelled to guard my family and our home 24/7. Kate taught me invaluable techniques to reassure him that he could let go and rest. I effectively helped him to feel that he was safe and I noticed he became more affectionate and he began to sleep undisturbed for longer periods.
His trainer also recognised the positive changes in his behaviour when we took him to group dog training classes. He was more focussed and much less reactive.
Through the gentle, mindful process of the Trust Technique, I greatly enhanced the bond with my dog and I can’t recommend Kate highly enough. She supported me when I felt desperate and the technique not only helped my dog but it helped me too. Without hesitation, I would say to anyone struggling with a pet’s behaviour, that talking to Kate will definitely make a huge difference and I am certain that your animal will thank you for it!”

Dog, Paddy
“After the 1st session of TT with Kate my, often reactive and frightened dog, was noticeably calmer and more in control of his feelings when we walked the streets.
Having been dubious of the benefits from something so simple to learn and use, I was converted!
Kate’s affirming approach also gave me so much more confidence as a dog owner (I previously felt I’d let my dog down). She helped me build a better rapport and communicate with him even when I was away from him.
I continue to use the TT when: he is endlessly demanding attention, had a shock from seeing another dog, bicycle or skateboard, or just seems unsettled. I’ve also introduced it to dog sitters to help them help him.
My dog’s a lurcher with a history of attacking dog’s and people and has a police record!”

Dog, Jay
“Our dog Jay is a 13 year old rescued Jack Russell with a long standing skin condition. When we adopted him 2 years ago he had a companion Benji – they had never been apart so we took them both. Benji died in the summer of 2023. So Jay has had to deal with a lot of loss: he has itchy skin, he growls at other dogs that approach him and that is our main difficulty. It has stopped us letting him off the lead for a run as often as he would like.
Since the session with Kate he has been happier and friendlier. It was noticeable how much he relaxed during the session and the change that came over him afterwards was extraordinary.
We now let him off whenever he is safe from roads and he only has the occasional grumble if a young excitable dog takes him by surprise.
Even though we haven’t managed to practise every day, the improvement has been maintained and we have told friends about the Trust Technique. We have both learned to sit with him and be present and this is something we can do anywhere. I would recommend it to anybody.”

Does Trust Technique help quickly?
The Day After our first Session
We’ve really noticed a huge difference in Jay already. He’s much calmer. He managed beautifully when we moved from one cottage to another (on holiday) and this usually freaks him out. Yes he snapped a couple of times at other dogs but got back in the peaceful zone very quickly. Yesterday he wasn’t biting himself so much. It’s a wondrous transformation. I didn’t expect it to happen so quickly.
Thanks Kate
